Washington Nationals v. Colorado Rockies
Game time- 7:05 p.m.
Tickets are $9 and can be purchased by calling Kimberly Cavanaugh 202.640.7695 by 3:00 pm Thursday.
Meet us outside the main gate at 6:30 and we'll pick up our tickets at will call together.

Football season is less than 40 days away, that means it's time for the Big 12 Kickoff Party!
When: Friday, August 28, 2009 at 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Where: Crystal City Sports Pub (3rd Floor)

This season, watch the Aggies battle it out at the Grand Slam in the Grand Hyatt, DC.

When our televised game schedule is announced, we will be posting the game watching parties on the DC Aggies website so that you can join in on all the excitement of the 2009 season. Bring your family and friends for a great afternoon/ evening of Aggie football!

4) NCTAMC Scholarship Announcement

 

On behalf of the Scholarship Committee, I am pleased to announce the 2009-2010 NCTAMC Scholarship Recipient, Alan Tamplen ’13.  Alan will soon depart to College Station for Freshman Orientation Week for the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, Company B-Battery.  Alan plans to study in the College of Engineering and will pursue a military contract for the United States Marine Corps where he aspires to fly Harriers.   Alan and his family live in Charlestown, West Virginia where Alan was active in his church, wrestled on the Varsity team, and in the Boys Scouts of American he achieved the highest rank, Eagle Scout.   

 

Thank you to all of our applicants, we truly appreciated reading your applications and look forward to next year’s application.

 

Several people asked me at BBQ about donations to the Scholarship and the Endowment.  If you would like to make a donation or learn how you can get involved with the Scholarship Committee, please do not hesitate to contact me.

5) CAN Flag Football

 

Fellow DC Aggies are participating in another flag football season with CAN (Capital Alumni Network). 

This is a no contact, flag league that plays on weekends only, from 8am to 3pm at Anacostia Park.  The 2009 season will run from 9/12 to 12/12, and all A&M Former Students are welcome to join as we BTHO our division opponents: Emory, Maryland, Penn State, Richmond, and t.u.

6) Texas State Society LBJ Celebration

 

What: Texas State Society’s President Lyndon Johnson’s birthday celebration.

When: Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m

Where: Lyndon Baines Johnson Memorial Grove located on the George Washington Parkway between the 14th Street and Memorial bridges.
