1) 2nd Annual Maroon and White Wine Tasting – 20 March

This Saturday, March 20th join the National Capital Texas A&M Club in our 2nd Annual Endowment Fundraiser- the Maroon and White Wine Tasting event.  The event will feature a variety of reds and whites and a fabulous spread of cheeses and other food! The event is $20 and all the proceeds go to the National Capital Texas A&M Club Endowment.

 The event will be located at the North Arlington Condominium, 1050 North Stuart Street in Arlington Virginia, 22201 --Just off the Ballston Metro.  The main entrance faces the courtyard.  Before entering the building, turn and walk down the left side of the building to the party room entrance.  There will be balloons and flyers up to direct you.

 Money will be collected at the door.  For more information, to RSVP, or if you're interested in volunteering for the event or donating food or wine, please contact Kelli at kellilynnuse@gmail.com or 202-297-1000.

 2) Aggie Basketball Game Watching - TBD

 The Aggie men's team is headed to the NCAA Tournament.... stay tuned for information on basketball game watching parties as that information becomes available. We'd love to have you join us at the Grand Slam Bar at the Grand Hyatt DC (1000 H Street NW) to cheer the Aggies on to victory! BTHO Utah State!

 3) Howdy Hour and the Wil Gravatt Band! – 25 March

 Join the DC Aggies on March 25, 2010 for a Howdy Hour at the Tune Inn (331 Pennsylvania Avenue SE, Capitol South) at 6:30 p.m. and then join us as we head over to the American Legion (224 D Street SE, Capitol South) for some great country music, courtesy of the Wil Gravatt Band!  Fellow Aggies Kelsey Walker and Jonathan Balmos will be teaching two step for those that need a refresher, or for friends who may never have learned.  Lessons are free. 

4) Wreath Laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier – 21 April

The National Capital Texas A&M Club will be honoring our fallen Aggies by laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on  April 21, 2010 and we invite you to come and share in this solemn tradition with us. The ceremony will begin promptly at 12:15pm. We advise that you arrive no later than 12:00pm so the ceremony will not be interrupted.

Dress is business casual. Parking is available at the cemetery for $1.75 an hour. Guests can also arrive via the Arlington Cemetery stop on the Blue Line.

5) Aggie Muster – 21 April

Muster is quickly approaching; you should have gotten an official invitation from the Association of Former Students with the date and time of our ceremony. If you have any questions, please feel free to email the DC Aggie Muster Committee at dcaggiemuster@gmail.com or you can check the  DC Aggies site for more information.

We will be conducting our second annual silent auction at this year's Muster. The proceeds will go towards the DC Aggies Scholarship endowment. Be sure to arrive early on the evening of Muster so that you can take advantage of all the great items we will have available!! If you have an item that you would like to donate, please feel free to reach out to the DC Aggie Muster Committee.

6) Membership

Thank you Aggies for making this a great year to be a member of the DC Aggies!  Membership sign-up for the 2009-2010 membership year is now closed.  But come back on April 11 to sign up for the new membership year!  We are excited to announce new membership benefits and activities program for 2010-2011 called "Aggie Life in DC".  More details coming soon...
