DC Aggie BBQ This Sunday!

Attending the Aggie BBQ? We hope so! It's this coming Sunday, August 1 at Castle Park, Ft. Belvoir, August 1st from 1-5pm, rain or shine.    Tickets are $10 for members, $25 for non-members, and $5 for kids under 12. Lots of food, drink & fun! See the very bottom of this email for directions to Ft. Belvoir.

Call for volunteers:

We plan to have the DC club officers and a BBQ volunteer team out early Sunday to set-up. Due to expected large crowd this year (est 300+) we have a large logistical effort ahead of us. Anyone who could come out early and join the BBQ volunteer team to set-up would be a big help and we would be very grateful in your part in making this a memorable event.

Directions to Ft. Belvoir

Most people in DC/NoVa and Md will be taking I-95 South:

    * Traveling south on I95, take the Fairfax Parkway/Backlick Road (7100) exit 166A.
    * Take the Fairfax County Parkway to its end at US Rt. 1 (Richmond Highway.)
    * Turn left on Rt. 1.
    * At the first light, turn right on Pohick Rd. to get to the entrance for Tulley Gate of Fort Belvoir.   Be prepared to show photo ID for everyone in your vehicle. If asked, say you're going to the Texas A&M Alumni BBQ event at Castle Park.

Once you're past Tulley Gate, you'll see signs for Castle Park (less than 2 miles south of Tulley Gate, near the waterfront of Gunston Cove) and we will have Aggies on the Fort looking out for fellow Aggies.
